Bakersfield is a really fun course to play. The staff is friendly and really working hard to improve the overall quality of the course. The greens have come a really long way this year (2011) as they have been working with the greenskeeper from the Links at Lang Farm. This is the same individual (I was told) who is responsible for the greens at the new Jay Peak course. The dedicated staff at BCC has taken his advice to heart and really improved play this season.

The back nine is a "quirky" layout but one that I always find both challenging and rewarding. You aren't always able to use the driver which I like; it makes you think strategy.

This Spring was incredibly wet and the course was dry enough to play. This Summer has been incredibly dry and the course still has green fairways. It, in my opinion, is both a great value and a fine place to play. Enjoy.
