The 9-hole "Sea Pines" course at the Sea Pines facility in Los Osos, California features 2,002 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 31. Designed by Glenn Setting, the Sea Pines golf course opened in 1954.
This is a very enjoyable and scenic 9 hole course near the ocean. Nice views of Morro Bay coupled with low fee to play make this a nice way to spend a few hours. The course has two holes with water hazards and a few decent par 4 holes. The course is part of a resort facility including a motel and restaurant. We didn't try either of them. The driving range was in miserable shape when I was there but it served the purpose of loosening up some tight muscles before the round. We found the greens and fairways to be in better than average condition. The course is walkable for most people but has enough elevation changes to be interesting. All-in-all I would certainly keep this course on my short list of courses to play again.
