2 THUMBS DOWN, WAY DOWN-the staff was so rude we stopped at the turn after a heated argument. Our request to play thru a very slow 5-some that teed off sever times on each hole was laughed at. Then I guess is customary there to drive up to a green while you are putting to discuss how to fix dead spots. The entire staff needs customer service training and the marshall need a clue. Never will I recommend or return to this course-it left a horrid taste in my brain!

We had a very negative experience at this place. This short course causes backups and delays because almost all of the par 4's are driveable, which means you have to wait on the tee boxes until a foursome in front of you putts out before you can even tee-off.
The Marshalls were rude and one of them named Don, actually cussed at us when we protested his judgement that we were holding up play because we were a shot behind the group in front of us! We were on the tee box of a blind par 3 "carnival-type" hole where you had to ring a bell on a pole after you've putted out to let the group behind you know your guess what...the bell didn't work. We waited 5 minutes on the tee box before driving up to see what was taking so long and find the group ahead was off the green and only 200 yards up the next fairway, but Marshall Don swoops in and jumps on us to pick up our play while we're putting. We tried to enjoy the rest of the day, but he comes back at us 14 holes later to give us more grief on hole #17, calling us smart-a$$es when we asked him if we'd been keeping up a better pace. In my 40 years of playing golf, this was the worst....Even the club pro there, while we tried to lodge a complaint against the Marshall, twisted his face and rolled his eyes at us in disgust and disbelief, all the while, trying to give our foursome a free pass to come back. Why is it beyond some people to simply say "We're sorry you had a bad experience Sir, we'll make sure this doesn't happen again." We declined the offer for the free rounds because of the tone of his voice and the lack of sincerity in the gesture, and we are taking the Marshalls advice when he told us earlier, "Maybe this isn't the type of golf course you should be playing!"
Thanks for the advice, Marshall Don, I guess you guys don't need the paying customers in your line of work, or care about repeat business in this economy!! And a bad rating from only one foursome posted on the Internet won't hurt you in the longrun......right?

This is a "fun house" golf course. Your ball can hit trees, rocks, bolders, and can bounce anywhere. Last couple years the greens were in pretty bad shape due to the drought. But this year, they were the best I've ever seen them - fast and fairly smooth. This is not a hard course. There are eagle chances even on some of the par 4's. There are 3 or 4 hard holes, but that is it. This course has some elevation changes on most holes. With Evergreen about 10 degrees cooler than Denver, this is a good place to play to get out of the heat during the middle of summer.

Fairly easy setup. A lot of blind shots (especially over the rock on #3). Beautiful mountain scenery. A fun course. Attracts a lot of "walkers" so play gets slowed down.
