Loved this course!! Will come back for sure now that I know where I'm shooting the ball! Challenging, beautiful, fun, and very well laid out.
I love it when someone has a bad round at a course and then they blast the course....it was your fault not anyone elses...Personally I golf for the golf....not the amenities...This course is fantastic!!. The scenery and the challenge make this course a must-see. Next time I'm in the area I'm most definitely coming back. Are the greens hard? Yes. Can you spray it wherever and not be penalized? No....(even though I hit into the Desert a couple times and had amazing roll backs to the rough)Are there Blind shots? Yes.Do they have a clubhouse? Who cares...Im not there to hang out...Im there to golf!I consider all these things to be awesome and its nice to play a course that isn't a cookie cutter copy of all the other courses.I applaud you Four Mile. You made a fantastic course.
One of the most fun courses along the front range. Completely different feel than just about any other course in the area--plays almost like a Vegas desert layout. Views are really nice along several of the holes. When we have visitors in town, this course is on the list along with the Academy courses and Red Hawk Ridge in Castle Rock.
The course is a hoot. I loved it! Play it with some one who knows it, or you will pay for the blind shots you have to make.
The first thing you see when coming up to the course is a Trailer, this is the clubhouse. Very friendly staff and they honored a golfnow.com price even though their prices were raised the week before. They also offer a militray discount. After checking in we went to the range which is a quarry with poles, hard to tell distances on the range. As for the course, a lot of blind shiots and greens that have more unjalation than you will ever play anywhere. When I say unjalation I mean there are some greens with 6-8 feet drops and valleys. This course will reward bad shots and punish good shots. When we were playing I told my buddy this is a course you can make 10 birdies and 8 others. If you are playing this course to post a good score good luck no matter how well you hit the ball. The only thing some of the greens were missing were a Clown's mouth. The maintenance on the course was top notch but there is no water on the course to drink. They provide you with complimentary water so I would stock up before teeing off.
