The course for the most part is worth the money. It gets a lot of play because there are not any courses close by and the local community of seniors takes advantage of its proximity. The management is more interested in how much profit they can make. Their view, you don't have to play here, I have lots of people who do want to play here I am not here to make this the best course. Mike (general manager) believes he has the best greens in the Inland Empire. But what he has is greens that are not rolled and cut occasionally so many golfers don't come back. Bunkers are not maintained. Grass is cut in the fairways and left there so it slows the ball down off the tee. This could be a very good course if management would listen to players. . The biggest problem with course and the reason more revenue is not generated is from the complete lack of leadership and the misunderstanding that the course is there to maximize profit, not optimize and provide a maintained golf course for all levels of golfers.
The GM has a background in the production of field crops/soil mgmt. but needs one in golf management/business.

I played on a late Thursday morning and got around in about 4 hours in spite of hitting traffic twice. The course is fine but not too interesting. Most holes are straight and there isn't a lot of strategy, just hit the ball straight. I had a terrible driving day but still scored okay, so it's not that punishing. The front nine is attractive with some creativity in the layout, but the back nine is perfunctory and uninspired, except for the two par-3s which are rather nice. I liked the staff, but I ended up getting stuck with some old-timers who apparently resented my intrusion onto "their" course and kept insulting me. One guy told me that my tee shot was OB when I couldn't see it from the tee box, but it turned out to be only a few feet off the fairway, that sort of thing. I'll probably play there again but it will never be one of my favorites.
