Awesome executive course! Features great scenic mountains w/ a beautiful range, water in play on several holes, lots of doglegs, a smooth pace of play, and a MAJOR elevation drop to the 11th green from the tee box. The rates are very reasonable and I've never seen the place crowded.

It's also got the most poorly stocked pro-shop I think I've ever seen at a golf course, so be sure to bring everything needed with you. Do not count of this pro-shop to have things in a pinch; tees, balls, gloves, cleats, etc. are only maybes on any given day.

Once listed as the best greens in the Valley, Still a good track. Weekends take the better part of 4 hours to play a 3 hour course.

Nice executive course to hone up on your short game. Bent grass greens are difficult to hold in dry conditions and can be slippery. Couple of holes are very tempting for you long drivers! Water comes into play on six holes. Compact layout so keep an eye out for errant shots! Very friendly staff! Nice mountain scenery too.

This course is a great place to play if you want to work on your short game. A lot of par 3 that are not that diificult. A decent amount of par 4 that are very managable. The only bad part is that sometimes it can take a long time to play a whole round.

Dont listen to deuschebag!! This is a great little course! Nice scenery, a bit of a challenge, friendly staff, nice variation of holes, what more can you ask for!!! $15 twilight rates with a cart for 18 holes??? Are you kidding me, thats worth it any day if you ask me! Of course it's not Moorpark Country Club, but then again you're not paying $100 to play either. For a nice round of golf when you're short on cash, but still want to play a nice fun course, you can't beat El Cariso!!!

el cariso

the course is simple, and clean. nice topography variations on the back nine. fair price. fresh mexican grill on the way from 9 -> 10th hole.
all in all an ok course, not worth traveling more than 15miles for.

Nothing Special

It has a pretty good twilight rate and nice carts. I didnt enjoy how short the course was though. There were no par fives and nothing over 400 yards. That was a dissapointment. The driving range was not manicured at all and the range balls have huge scuffs in them and they do not give realistic ball flight at all. The hot dogs were cold in the middle and very expensive. Don't play this course.
