The fairways were wide and good for beginners. The sand was rough though in the bunkers but great value when playing twilight - only $29.50 after 1pm. Layout is challenging enough for even lower handicaps.

this course in is the middle of leveling its tee boxes and adding some length to the holes and should be done in month or less. the greens are still bumpy and slow and the sand traps are hard too and thin. the overall layout is nice, and getting a tee time on a fri was easy. now I know why..lol but the twilight rate is good, and the pace of play was great, under 4hrs. plus they had a great taco appetizer in the bar. the pro shop is well stocked, and overall course condition is good other than that. the practice putting area is a little to small.
once all the tee boxes are done, it should be nice and lets hope the sand and greens get the attention they need. I gave it about a 3.5 but it deserves better once all the work gets done.
PS: if the wind is blowing it will challenge your game.
also the carts need to have sand/seed mix on them, and the tee boxes too, this would help the course too...

Greens were in horrible shape; very, very bumpy and slow - there was some maintenance problem there. I love the course layout with some creative shorter par 4's and longer holes as well. The final 6 holes are heavily wooded carved out of a small forest of big mature trees, so accuracy is a premium. If they fixed the greens, I'd really enjoy this course.

If I didn't live 5 minutes from this course I probably wouldn't play it more than once. What keeps me coming out here is a reasonable twilight rate and a good chance of getting a last minute tee time. Here comes the downside, I'll start from the worst... The greens play like a Private Club's fringe, the pace of play is so slow that some days I bring a tent and barbeque to set up between holes, and the cart paths are softer than most bunkers. Nevertheless, I'm sure I'll be out there another five times before the year is over.

This is one of those courses that can either be really easy or make you want to give up the game. It's a relatively short course even from the tips, and if you stay out of the trees it can be pretty easy to score well. Those trees, however, or more precisely staying out of the trees, will be the key to your round. The greens are generally in good shape, albeit too slow for my tastes, as are the fairways. Like the greens, though, I'd prefer them cut a little tighter since you may not get as much roll as you' re used to. Still, I do enjoy this course a lot. It's fun, can require some thinking, and is surprisingly easy to get on even on a weekend.

Great course for midrange player.

Give it a try!!

A good muni with a pretty good variety of holes. There are a couple Par 4's that play VERY long, because they are always into a prevailing wind. Greens are simple and often a little slow. Scratch golfers will find it pretty easy to break 80 even on a bad day, but always difficult to finish under par. This is a fun course and worth the visit.
