My fourth time playing in San Diego. This is a nice course. Yeah it winds around so you have to drive your cart more than normal but the course play nice. There are more than a few interesting and fun fairways to play off the tee. The course was in good shape. The scenery was pretty nice and worth taking a few pictures of. I liked the course and I will play it again. One note... in reference to the review above about the danger. If you decide to live on a golf course and you have an issue with what comes with living next to a place where people hit balls around please use a different forum to place your complaints. This is a nice place to play. Its too bad that you have a problem with your proximity to the course. Sorry about that.

This club and golf course puts money before people's safety. They changed the course and endangered those that live on it and are unwilling to provide basic protections for residents due to not wanting to spend the money.

I live on the course and have tried 3 times to work them on a solution that would protect homeowner, children and guests and they have repeatedly refused. They KNOW and have admitted to me that they have put people in danger and will not step up and do anything about it. Even provided a no cost solution in returning the course to a previous state was denied since they already made the investment.

While I live on the course I will never play there again since I know my money would just be going to line their pockets and not trying to keep up the course and the saftey of those around it.

And yes this does effect those who play on the course cause the golf course will maintain that the golfer is responsible for all damange, property and person. I don't care about broken windows but people are another issue. If you play here.... PLEASE yell "4" if you even think you may go out of bounds since we can't protect ourselves or get the course to help us.

This course winds through the Carmel Mtn. Ranch housing devlopments -- so not much on scenery. Challenging, but not in an enjoyable way. Greens are typically in good shape, its a good value especially with coupons found in the Union Tribune. A few holes on each side dont fit the course and seem to be afterthoughts. Overall, Im pretty indifferent about the course -- its ok.

The Devil himself designed this corse. There is trouble lurking on every hole. To add to the torment, the holes aren't easy to find due to bad marking by the staff, and the whole thing is poorly maintained. There are weeds and patches of dirt in the rough and gopher holes all over the place. I agree with the poster about the houses. There must be NO homeowner's association because there is a lot of unsightly junk in many of the yards facing the course. I will NOT come back to this course. Thumbs Down!!

In a residential area, but the houses don't really come into play. Lots of elevation changes. Generally in good condition (in March)and pretty good value. Enjoyed it enough to play it twice in one week.

While the amenities are nice and the holes themselves aren't bad that's where it ends. No driving range, dull scenery (houses) and an eternity to get to each hole make this course a must miss when it comes to SD golf.

Yee Haw, Strap It On, You're In For A Ride

If you've never played here bring extra balls. There's more rolling & undulating greens on this course than I ever want to see again. I have played there at least 20 times & I still know I'm in for a butt kicking when I play there. I enjoy this course alot, alot.
