Wow, what a course. Played 5 other courses as well. For comparison's sake, my favorites: 1. Firecliff, 2. Silver Rock
3. PGA West Stadium (overpriced) 4. Indian Wells Celebrity (the back nine was great) 5. Eagle Falls and 6. The Other Desert Willow Course.

This course was a true lush desert course. Some elevation changes, great greens and fairways. The scenery was nice and you really felt secluded from the roads. If my group goes back to Palm Springs, we will definitely play this course again. Silver Rock was a close second.

Enjoyed this course very much! Played the middle tees and surprisingly stayed out of most of the trouble. Back tees would be very fun next time as there's trouble lurking all over. Would def play here again if I find myself back in the area.

Georgeous course with lots of sand. No one told us about the rakes until after the round. Greens very slow for a course like this. Through convention paid more than normal. Only course this week with GPS, ball washer & club cleaner on cart, which was very nice. Maintenance people were rude all day, following us around with their little carts and running and stopping the motors constantly, very distracting. The crews were mowing the fairways we were playing on. We have never seen that before on any course and did not expect that after paying more than going rate. However, fairways, tees, greens in great shape. Lots of slope in the greens and A LOT OF SAND. Best advise - STAY OUT OF SAND!!!

WOW!!! What a fun golf course. A true desert test. I found it relatively challenging, but definitely not too difficult. The value is great, the staff is great, and the course is in perfect shape. Two courses that you have to play are this one, and SilverRock in La Quinta. SilverRock is one of the PGA Tour courses in the Bob Hope Classic rotation, and it stretches to almost 7600 yards! If you're up for a challenge it's worth the little 30 minute drive.

My favorite course is Shadow Ridge in Palm Desert, but after playing this, I find myself thinking Firecliff might be better...hard to say. For starters, the greens are great. Very cool rake idea. Can't say they all work but who cares...just a cool idea. You need a club to pop it out then the rake comes out from the ground. Second, one of the biggest pluses is that you don't have a lot of resort golfers that want to try out the course because they are vacationing. The four times that I have played there this week, most of the golfers were decent so the round was completed at a decent time.

There is a lot of sand, you have to stay clear from them. Makes any hole longer. The view is great. Don't forget to bring a nice camera for pics.

As for the workers, there are nice friendly ones and some rather rude ones. As for cancelations, be careful, the young kid that was the starter on Aug 10, should consider another job other than dealing with the public. Fairly rude. As for the rest, very nice people.

A must play course...if you have the time to play this over again, try getting the VIP card. Cost $59 for the card and you get to play any round for $35 and your guest pays that too. Our group got one VIP and the rest paid $35. Ended up playing this course the whole week. Got our moneys worth!!

super desert course with some water features for the naturalist
Neat pristine fair course although i was lucky not to be in too many bunkers (there are alot)
Super cart with towels / sat nav/+ ball cleaner was the pieste resistance
Magic with intrusion of property/traffic noise only noticeable on one hole
= 35 dollars for round & practice bag of balls
Puts Troon in Scotsdale to shame for value for money

The course was beautiful, but their customer service is highly lacking. An example: a guy was in front of us with a group of 8 golfers. One guy didn't show up so they only had 7. They still charged him full price for the 8th and wouldn't budge. I can see if everybody was a no show but c'mon. I think they need to be more flexible. Also, their greens were just aerated and nobody told us. They were terrible. We complained and they just said they didn't tell us because we booked online through their website. They only tell you if you call. Not even a "sorry" from them. Great course overall though.

If you aren't hitting your drives super striaght, this course will eat you up. Most fairways are lined with bunkers on one side and waste areas on the other side. The sand in the bunkers was hard and unpredictable, which made it hard to get and close with a normal sand shot. The greens are very nicely maintained, and very difficult, not as fast as the practice green, though. It was also very windy when we played, which made a tough course brutal. Have fun!
