I played this course a few weeks before an LPGA event and they were growing the rough and tightening the fairways…Greens were in great shape and rolling fairly true. The front nine is a bit shorter than the back however it is swamped with grass bunkers that are very penalizing……..

I made a big mistake in making a morning tee time i.e. it was very foggy out and hindered some of the outstanding views….It did clear up for the back 9 though and was able to capture some of the outstanding views (…Wind and those dam fescue grass bunkers are really this golf courses best defense. It is very wide open synonymous with most links style layouts………

All in all this was I fine experience the club house and over all set up is just like I like it….Drive up, park, toss your shoes on, throw your bag on your shoulder and, head for the pro shop…..If you want papering they do have a upscale motel with outstanding views (as seen in the images bellow). One con though, NO DRIVING RANGE :o( .They had to use part of their second golf course as a range for the LPGA event……….

This is defiantly a poor man’s Pebble Beach I say if you’re in the area, give it go…….

A good golf course, though not a great one. Generally well maintained, and not overly crowded since it's a little pricey for what you get. Holes don't have a lot of variety or interesting features beyond the incredible ocean views. Very average bunkering, greens are good but they don't stand out. Beyond 18 (a strong finishing hole), you'll have trouble remembering any of the holes the next day. A nice course for a mid to upper handicapper, but the wind along the coast can blow the ball around a bit. Worth playing, but there's better public golf if you're willing to drive a bit south (Pasatiempo, Spyglass, Pebble) or north (Harding Park).

This is my favorite local course, so I am somewhat biased. The course is almost always in top shape, the views are breathtaking, the value is incredible when compared to Pebble Beach. There are some difficult holes, like 16, but overall this is a very playable course for a middle handicap golfer. Nearly everyone I have golfed with here has been very impressed. Highly recommended.
