Replayed this course 10/18/2008; It is what all the other reviews are saying and it is worse than that; The 14th/17th hole bathroom is closed down with graffiti all over the outside of this buiding with trash galore around it and elsewere; this course is a toilet; The owners are a corporation and not Americans and in my opinion UnAmerican!!!; Shame on the City not to step up and force a sale of this once Beautiful Country Club Course; where famous people have played; they would turn over in their graves and the original members would too!!! The greens are Shot!!; Huge crab grass and large holes in most of the greens. Ground squirels and gophers live and bread on this course, what a mess! The management has the audacity to charge $50 with cart on the weekend and can not look you in the eyes, you know this course has major problems. The marshall even said the greens will never be repaired and the reason the course was in a state of recent disrepair, because the water pump has been broken for 3 Weeks with no watering of the course; Hey it it is going to take a Hell of lot more than watering this course to bring it back, give me a break. It really is a pitty, a great layout like this has ended up this way. Someone has got to have money to purchase this course and bring it back to what it was; I figure about $300,000 to $400,000 per hole would do it for right now. It can be done, someone with a passion for golf and money needs to step up to the plate and bring it back. This course gives golf a bad taste in anyones mouth. Oh and they sell furniture in the clubhouse in case you need a new sofa or chairs, really!!! Someone has got to do something, please!!!

This course is so bad, they have to pay me to play there. No joke. it was so bad, but the place is closing down soon.
UPDATE it is now 7-9-09 and the course is closed down. i walked arouns the deserted course and it it bad..

If you can overlook the poor maintenances of the fairways, the course has an awesome layout. I think there's a reason why they used to have pga events here in the 60s. i wish someone can invest and revamp this course to go back to the glory days.

Absolutely the worst golf course I have ever played.

The course is not maintained at all.
When I say it is not maintained, I mean it is not maintained. Tree branches are everywhere. Trash is everywhere. Grass is yellow and dying. Too many areas with dirt. The greens are the worst. I would not play at this course again even if the fees were under $10. The course needs to be shut down for about a year and renovated.

won't go there again. Way overpriced for the course. It's not kept up; the staff is discourteous; don't really care; from management down it seems. very dissapointed.
