played this course with my old golf club The Bar Stewards and we were very disappointed. We've played a lot of the courses in Corona as you generally get good value and it's close to where many of the members live. I was very excited to play a Nicklaus design as I enjoy his short par fours and layouts in general. The course is "crammed" into a canyon and maybe just maybe this wasn't the right place to build a golf course and certainly Mr. Nicklaus you could see that. I struggle to believe that a you think this is worthy of your name and b that you really needed the check that badly. Fairways were in terrible condition - bare parts all over, huge chunks of grass re-layed all over most of them. As for design I don't mind and quite like the odd unlevel lie - uphill, downhill and sidehills BUT on every shot?. I should have noticed on the first hole a par 5 when you really can't hit more than a 5 iron off the tee...silly. There's many better places to play within 10 miles of this one. For $80+ there's better value too.

Immaculate difficult course, narrow, hilly, undulating greens. Must carry brush many holes, monstrous bunkers protecting good fairway shots and nearly every green. Favors the target golfer. A must play for scratch golfers. The faint of heart need not torture themselves. That said its rural beauty may be worth the price and frustration if you are so inclined.

Great golf course. I maintain that if you play here, regularly you will improve your game. Tough from the tips, lots of long carries. Tough lies on fairways and uphill to narrow greens, which held nicely. A few holes were a big more "target" than I like, and the fairways were dry the second time I played here, but overall a beautiful, well maintained course that will challenge even the low handicap. Those that spray, beware, you will lose alot of golf balls.

Playing from the blacks, I had a 1 under at the 7th hole but ended up with a 5 over by the 9th hole. At the end of the round I ended up with a 93. Front 9 is where you need to score because you really need all the birdies to sustain a hard back 9. I enjoyed playing the course. Played it three times after my first one. Would I play it again? Yes! Would I enjoy it again? Most likely not!

Need to try it at less once. In that area, there are better courses. Try Eagle Glen!

Played it for the first time this week. The starter sent me out as a single to catch the twosome ahead of me and I almost took a wrong turn on the first hole. The course is immaculate with attention to detail. How often have you found the inside of the cups sprayed white? But it has some really contrived holes. And I missed the 11-13 stretch because the member I played with took a short cut around some slow players. After awhile you really tire of the immense bunkers everywhere. But I never tired of the roller coaster greens.

But my biggest beef is with the closing holes on each nine. You have to lay the blame at Jack Nicklaus' feet. Both 9 and 18 are boring uphill slogs. Why didn't someone insist on putting the clubhouse at a lower elevation, and provide some majesty to the finish. What a huge letdown. I will go back---but infrequently

This was, by far, the hardest golf course I have ever played. If you don't like to struggle your entire round, do go there. In my foursome, 2 of the players began vowing never to return before the front 9 was over. If you like playing a course that is as tough as it gets, this is a great day. Lots of difficult approaches and you really have to plan ahead on every hole. The risk reward is huge. Especially the risk part. I love this course. It was beautifully maintained, the staff was great and I lost 12 golf balls. I can't wait to go back.

I agree with KKJohnson. It's a very gimmicky, artificially designed course with wierd lies and angles to increase difficulty. Very target golf like and little to no bail-out locations for miss played shots. Hard but fair is fine but difficult because you can or you have to will limit your customer base.

A 200 plus yard par 3, trees right that the border a ravine and a green that's about 10 yards wide and a steep hill left full of brush are typical of your day here.

SCGA or Eagle Glen are difficult but fair, this was neither nor fun. I will NEVER play there again.

This is a terribly designed course. Except for the tee boxes, you do not hit on a flat piece of ground. It is like playing Super Mario Brothers golf. The greens are all very shallow and since you are usually hitting up a steep hill, you have no arc on your shot so everything roles off the back.

An example of the terrible design is on number 11. I hit a drive down the middle of the fairway but since the hil was so steep, the ball rolled back about 60 yards. I might was well have hit a wedge to the bottom of the hil because every shot ended up there. The course is filled with holes like this.

Nicklaus needs to take a mulligan on the design of this course!

Played it on March 30, it was awesome. I played from white tees and it was difficult enough to be challenging enough but not so much that it wasn't fun. I love the scenery, it's immaculate. Staff is very nice. golf carts are top of the line. Greeter is super nice. Loved everything about it. Greens are as true as they get. A++++
