The fairways were bad, high in some places, weedy in others, bare in others. But the greens defy description. Almost all of them were ruined with some kind of tire tracks, and in some cases, the green wasn't even available -- we had to use temporary greens. BC Ranch is a good name for this place; it couldn't be worse if cattle had been walking all over it. And be warned -- they told us over the phone the course was in good shape, but we arrived to find out that only the back nine was open. $20 for unlimited play on the back nine was still too much. Skip this and go visit Montezuma's castle down the road instead.

This course has gone through some ups and downs over the past decade. Just 6 months ago, prior to the new ownership and name change, this course was in great shape. However, the course is in the worst shape it's ever been in. The greens should be called mud craters, since there is very little grass on any of the greens. The fairways are shoddy, with many bare spots. The tees are in equally bad condition. This course charges $35 to ride or walk. Compared to other courses in the area, this course may be worth playing for $10... just for practice in hitting the ball, but certainly not for "golfing." You can top off all of this with a staff that ranges from unresponsive (walking dead-type) to generally negative.
