Well kept golf course.

Great well designed and well taken care of course great value

I would never have known about Post Butte if I hadn't seen it in an Alaska Airline's magazine on a flight a few weeks ago. After seeing hole 17 and a couple other's in the magazine I knew I wanted to play it. The May special of $55 unlimited golf with lunch pushed us to drive the extra distance (I live in Apache Junction) to Poston. We are always able to play more than 18 holes and that is a great deal.

The well laid out course and deep bunkers that really make you regret landing in one (unlike a lot of other courses) were great. The course had just the right difficulty for us playing from the black tees. 17th is great of course! There is only two holes with water in play, one barely in play only if you hook bad off the tee (with a huge bunker meeting the water if you don't hook as bad) then the 17 where from the black tees it was about 140 yds of water to carry to the small island green. There's deep bunkers with soft sand all over this course.

Pacing was a bit slow at the beginning. For the amount of people playing Saturday (not many) the tee times could have been spaced out more. It may have been a bit better if our fourth had shown up. The second 18 were great with not many playing in 100+ heat. We didn't even see anybody else the whole time.

Great course and I believe we'll be back before the May special is over! They could use a clubhouse/restaurant but for now the sandwhiches are good and the beer is cheap.
