This course is absolutely horrible. The quality for the price ($55) was unbelievable. I wouldn't pay $20 to play this course again. The bunkers were grown up, the rough was beyond rough. If you were just off the green, you would be lucky if you could even see the golf ball. On multiple tee boxes, you couldn't even see the ball because of the tee boxes being so overgrown. I was amazed at the lack of quality at this course for the amount of money they charged me from the beginning. I took pictures of the sand traps in the middle of the greens. Are you serious?! I would never play here again. I've played on 9-hole courses that are 500% better than this! Sad day and a total waste. Please save your money!

About the only thing going for this course was the hospitality of the staff. The course conditions ranged from average to significantly below average. The course routing is confusing and you really need to keep your head on a swivel as the switchback nature of the holes places you at risk of a stray golf ball flying past you on a great majority of the holes.

This course lies in a beautiful area and the course itself must have been very nice in its day. Its day, sadly, is long gone. We played in late May, 2010, and loved the layout of the course with several imaginative holes. Most holes are very tight off the tee with trees lining every fairway. Hit it straight or you'll be chipping back to the fairway. That would not be a negative, however, if any maintenance had been done to the course. Every bunker on the course had suffered severe erosion, and for several years, with no attempt to repair or replace sand. The locals we played with claimed that everyone took a free drop from any bunker because they are basically unplayable, many with standing water in them. Many fairways were filled with weeds and several greens were damaged, with very poor replacement of plugs in old holes - sometimes there was a 1/4" drop between the surface of the green and the plug. The practice tee had not a blade of grass on it - very sad.

Scenic location, but lots of rocks all over course. Especially in the bunkers.

Great course, terrible clubhouse and facilities. Go to play, not to party, and you'll have a super time.

Great Course, Nice fairways and great fast greens, love the mounding around most of the greens. Belvedere plays long and is a great course, one of the best in Arkansas.

After a terrible start (we barely made it out of the parking lot) at Diamondhead (read the review), we arrived at Belvedere....for Dec 23 weather, I was really impressed with the course. The greens were in amazing shape. The greens were considerably faster than what I'm used to, but they looked great. The course was tight, but on many of the holes I was able to recover. There were plenty of elevated tees especially from the blues, I had a good time there and would consider playing there again when I come back in town. Good job Belvedere....I WILL NEVER PLAY DIAMONDHEAD!!!!!

Belvedere in its day was a excellent golf course and clubhouse facility. Today, sadly, from a lack of funding, former management and former course management have left this once great resort basically a municipal tract.I can see improvements have been made in areas but still need a little way to go to live up to their own claims that I've read on golf school websites(United States Schools of This is not a state-of-the art practice facility and school with range and putting green.I've never seen a short game area there. I would not recommend the hotels listed at all.I think the hotel is now closed. Stay in south Hot Springs where the newer hotels, lake, shopping and restaurants are. It's only a few minutes to the course. The driving range is terrible. The grass is always tore up.Please water and fertilize your tee box if your charging money to use it. Range is a dirt hillside with a flag stuck out there for appearance I guess. Tore up mismatched balls that most need to be trashed and replaced.I mean come on, how much are a few range balls ? What few balls they have are hand picked because range is too rough to get a picker on. Large pine trees surround the area and anyone knows grass does not grow around pines very well. Practice green pretty good but has some rot in it in spots.I hate to be so negative but please give your practice areas some attention and then advertise that you have done so. You have to spend some money to get new members and guests out there! The golf course layout is good. Not really long but very tight.I would have to say the course is great right now.I have played all the public courses in central Arkansas and Belvedere is in the best shape.Greens are impressive. It looks like the foreign grass infestation(goose) is gone completely. Maybe a little on a couple of collars but it's a welcome sight.Greens really hold shots well.Impressive.(Please fix your divots people.Integrity and respect remember?).Greens in Little Rock, Benton, Glenwood are terrible right now. Some have huge problems to fix. Tee boxes are great.Very grassy and level.Impressive.I wrote earlier that the sandtraps were bad but they have worked hard to fix this and now they are really impressive. Soft sand that a wedge can actually do it's job in.Raked out nice and manicured well.Good job maintenance crew.Fairways are really good and I saw where they have a new John Deere mower so now there is a cut of rough which in spots is really thick.A good challenge. Now I can definately recommend playing Belvedere and would tell the L.R, Benton and Glenwood courses they have a little catching up to do.I hope soon to write about practice facility improvements.Lets keep our fingers crossed.

The only really good thing about Belvedere is the golf course. It is a fabulous course and very challenging. If you want a course designed with lots of pot bunkers, hills, and big oak trees then Belvedere is the place for you.

Club House staff very friendly, course workers need to be more aware of golfers and stop work when golfers nearby.

Overall the maintenance is great but only if you like teeing off on a hole where the maintenance workers don't have any respect for the golfer. On several occasions, I walked up to the tee box and not only did the maintenance worker just get there at the same time I did, but he began working 15 feet in front of me. I know they have to complete their work in a timely manner, but starting any type of mechanical equipment as you walk up to a tee is unacceptable. They don't even stop while your trying to tee off. They won't even acknowledge that the golfer is on the tee. They just keep working with their backs turned to you.
