Vache Grasse Recreation, Greenwood, AR

This course lost its greens this year. The new ones were ready for play last month, and I've played 9 on them. I think they need to mature a bit more, but I think it's going to be good for years to come. The fairways are a different story--we don't play the ball down, so we find some grass to hit off of--but I saw there had been some effort to improve those as well.

It is a tale of two course, as the front nine is pretty wide open and the back nine has trees lining at least one side of the fairway on all the par 4s and 5th.

I wouldn't recommend coming specifically to play it, but if you're in the area, and understand the fairways are not great (we also pull out of the ditches), I think you'll have fun.

Vache Grasse Country Club is a challenging 18 Hole Golf Course with many beautiful vistas. Groups, Churches, Corporate Outings, your Favorite Foursome, Doubles, or just a Single Golfer are all welcome. We offer yearly memberships and green fee play. We have a swimming pool that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Community Room is available for rental: as is the swimming pool.
Vache Grasse Men’s Golf League begins in early Spring, and meets every Wednesday evening @ 6:00 sign up by 5:30 PM through the Golf Season. Begins April 19th.
Vache Grasse Ladies Golf Association begins the first Tuesday in March and continues every Tuesday morning through the last Tuesday in October. . All skill levels are welcome, ladies may play in an 18-Hole group, or a 9-Hole group. We also have added a Women's League on Wednesday evenings @ 6:00 sign up by 5:30 for 9 Holes. Begins April 19th.
Thursday Evening is “Scramble Night” at Vache Grasse. Golfers meet at the Clubhouse or check in by 5:30 PM and teams are put together for a fun evening of competitive golf. Begins April 20th.
Ladies Bridge Group meets every Wednesday year around.
