Excellent course. A good mix of difficult and easier holes. Fairways and greens are almost always in great shape. Unbelievable value. Beautiful terrain. Course takes full advantage of super topography. I get to play several times a year. Amenities are not the greatest but passable. Work staff are very nice and love their course. Living in Austin, I'm used to $80 plus rounds and few courses are as nice as this one. Also, rarely crowded.

They had just re-opened with new greens. Well worth it. It is no wonder why this course is ranked so high. I will play it again

The scenery in the mountains of Arkansas is great! Challenging course as well. A definite re-play!

Great course - pretty challenging. Scenery is awesome with lots of wildlife. Some blind shots over hills and around corners. Well maintained with a very friendly staff. Only negative was the mowers who seemed to follow me around for a few holes.

The Mountain Ranch course is a great hilly course with views of the surrounding mountains. It is a must play if you are in the area.

Golf in the mountains

I have played this course a number of times over the last 10 years. I have an uncle that works there and a good friend who is part owner. If you enjoy beautiful scenery along with a challanging (ball placement) course, then this is for you.
The rolling hills and uneven greens are tough if you don't know the course. The greens are hard to read because of the hills and valleys nearby. The greens are generally in good shape and are normally soft except in the hottest part of the summer.(shoot for the flag) The only aspect of the course I've noticed in the last few years lacking is the sand, and there is a lot of it stategically located so you will probably be in it some.
