This course is great. I'm a member at a pretty quality course so I was not expecting this to compare. It did. It was fun, very challenging, but not overwhelming. fairways were in great shape and spongy. so the ball played very easily off of it. Beyond beautiful course. great look and feel, and then nature's beauty was captured. not to tight, but not wide open either. the only knock on the course for me was the greens and the rough. the greens were in incredible shape, however were very very fast. This isn't normally a problem, but the hilly and mountainous terrain greatly influenced the break of the greens to the point that the combination of the speed and the enormous and undetectable breaks were too difficult to enjoy. I think if you play it enough wont actually be an issue and you will be able to enjoy the greens. The rough however was too long. Ball would literally disappear if you were off the fairway by less than a foot. for the average golfer and hacker it was not friendly. Finding a ball came out of pure luck. Course is beautiful and fun and great quality golf. However you can't handle the increased difficulty in putting with the speed and difficult breaks and can't find the fairway, maybe only play her occasionally, because it will be an uphill battle; literally and figuratively. the course is hilly.

I live out of town & last played here 07/07/11. I have played the course several times in years past when it was public. For now, the course is member only. I hear the course is up for auction in August 2011, so who knows what will happen after that. The only reason I got to play here this date was my wife had bought me a Christmas gift certificate that I hadn't used yet & they honored it. The course was in great shape. It will be a terrible injustice if this course closes for some reason. The bent grass greens died a few years back & were replaced with hybrid bermudas that were fantastic. I love the course layout. As with any course there are harder & easier holes. Make your score on the easier holes & survive the harder ones. The staff in the pro shop & snack area were very nice. Bottom line, yes I would come back to play here.
