The 18-hole "River" course at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail At Hampton Cove facility in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama features 6,592 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The start of this course is a nice difference from Highlands (the other RTJ Trail course at this site). However the scenery gets kinda redundant being all lowlands without any sand bunkers to provide contrast. Another added detraction was that all the pins were tucked today in very small areas of the greens and the options to get the ball to the greens were limited due to no run up areas.
