Becky Peirce Municipal Golf Course, Huntsville, AL

Course was in very good condition on my last trip, July 20, 2015. Only two of the greens were not in great shape, as the type of grass was being changed. Fairways are cut low, with around 1-2" rough, which is limited around the course. Hazards and sand are plentiful (sand especially around the greens). For a good golfer, this track should not be too tough. The twilight was $25 with cart, which is very reasonable. Overall a B+ / A- experience.

This is an enjoyable municipal course with slight elevation changes, and excellent views of the surrounding hills. It plays pretty short from the white tees. The greens had some bare spots as a result of the severe heat wave during July and August of 2010, but all in all the course was in pretty good shape. I've played it twice and will play it again.

Good price and forgiving layout. Slightly harder than Sunset, but not as pretty as the RTJ site in town. This course can be quite crowded. The course offers good deals for juniors and seniors, but I am stuck in the full priced category. This use to be steal of a good deal, but RTJ is a better course for only about $8 more with a trail card.

The Huntsville Municipal Golf Course has well kept fairways and nice greens. It has an intermediate difficulty level. There are also practice greens and a driving range there. The price is pretty good for the quality. The only bad things are the elderly people that don't like teenagers much, and the course gets crowded sometimes.

Nice little course. Greens are descent and fairways are maintained well. Can get very crowded. No real clubhouse to speak of.

The biggest upshot about this course has to be that it's literally in the middle of Huntsville, just off of the main throughfare, so getting there is a breeze. The course is highly varied, watch for changes in elevation as you'll be hitting up or down hill pretty often. Come to think of it, no two holes here are even similar. The scenery isn't bad either; the back nine are fairly wooded and as the course is located on a hill side you are afforded sweeping views of the downtown Huntsville skyline. For a public muni course it's well kept, and probably the best golf value in Huntsville.

If I could add anything to the course it would be a practice bunker; as it stands now still have to travel to Hampton Cove, Madison, or Richland Golf Center to find one.
