The 9-hole "Brook" course at the Bent Brook Golf Course facility in Bessemer, Alabama features 3,700 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by Ward Nothrup, the Brook golf course opened in 1988. Mickey Smith manages the course as the Director of Golf.

Friendly staff, great maintenance, forgiving layout. I couldn't ask for more out of a course.

Stay away from this under-managed train wreck! While the 3 differen't 9's are fun to play, the pro shop has an attitude of apathy and the starters are generally clueless. How about figuring out how to set up the courses so that they use two of the 9's to comprise 18 holes, and then one of the 9's for those only looking to play 9? Can't be too difficult. Then let's spend some time training the starters on how to get people on the right course and create flow from the beginning.

Excellent value for what you get. GPS on the cart is a huge plus. Challenging design and layout. I would suggest this course to anyone playing in the Birmingham area. I'll see everyone at Bentbrook again real soon.

Impressive and beautiful, challenging course. The people there made me feel like a king for blue-collar dues. GPS on the carts is great too! This place is a great bargain.
