The PGA Tour rolls on with this week's 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic, taking place July 2-5 at Detroit GolfClub. Though Detroit itself has a long history with professional golf, it is only the tournament's second edition. However, with all other major American sports league still on hold, the event is sure to draw millions of eyes hungry for sports action. A strong field is looking to compete with last week's RBC Heritage winner Webb Simpson competing, along with Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, and defending champion Nate Lashley.

The host course for the event is the Donald Ross designed North Course at the historic Detroit Golf Club. The private facility was founded by local businessman William R. Farrand in 1899, and in 1913 additional land was purchased for the Ross designed North and South courses. The classic layout was deemed one of the PGA Tour's easiest courses, and it is expected that longer rough and narrowing of fairways will occur before the tournament to create a more challenging course.
