Schauffele was forced to win the hard way as both he and Tony Finau jockeyed for first placet. Finau looked poised to claim the victory with a score of -14 until Schauffele birdied his last 2 holes to tie Finau. The championship would have to be decided via a playoff. Both golfers teed up on the 18th hole to decide who the champion would be. Finau, who had held a 3-stroke lead heading into the final round, hit his tee shot into the a bunker while Schauffele drove his ball onto the fairway. From there, Schauffele held his nerve and defeated Finau with 2 more strokes. Rounding out the top 5 were Justin Rose with -10, and Andrew Putnam and Kiradech Aphibarnrat with -8.
