The 2018 Fort Worth Invitational, formerly known as the Dean & DeLuca Invitational, is being held at the Colonial Country Club from May 24-27. The tournament is one of only 5 invitational tournaments on the PGA Tour, and has a smaller field of 125 golfers vying for the plaid winner’s jacket. Though the action officially starts on Thursday, May 24th, there will be special events occuring throughout the week at the tournament host venue.

Monday, May 21st
Monday will see the annual Hogan Pro-Am as the professionals take their first crack at the challenging Colonial Country Club. In addition to the Hogan Pro-Am, a black tie formal event honoring college golf’s best players and handing out the prestigious Ben Hogan award will take place at the Colonial Country Club Ballroom, presented by Konica Minolta. The winner of the Hogan Award earns an invitation to play in next year’s tournament. There is no entry fee this day.
Tuesday, May 22nd
Tuesday sees the professionals play their practice rounds. It is also Executive Women’s Day, a conference that covers issues facing women executives such as corporate leadership, economic and career development and professional networking. There is no entrance fee for the day, registration is necessary to attend Executive Women’s Day events.
Wednesday, May 23rd
The headlining event is the Colonial Pro-Am presented by MetLife. This is the last chance for professionals to play the course and celebrities have been known to play the event. It is also Lockheed Martin Care Package Day. During this day, over 500 care packages will be assembled for military personnel stationed overseas. Visitors can also write a letter of support that will be placed inside a care package to help boost the morale of of American soldiers.
Thursday, May 24th-Sunday, May 27th
The first round begins at 7:30am CT Thursday and play finishes up with the final round on Sunday, May 27th. Immediately after the end of the play the trophy and plaid jacket presentation will take place on the 18th green.
