The 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am takes place February 8-11 across three courses in Pebble Beach, CA. The courses hosting this years’ event are the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is an annual PGA Tour event originally founded by singer and actor Bing Crosby in 1937. The event is unique in that it pairs each professional with an amateur to play as a team, with each playing the better ball after each shot. In addition, the professionals also compete in traditional stroke play. The event is also unique in that it is one of the few PGA Tour events set up to raise money for charity. It remains one of the most popular events on the Tour, thanks in large part to the numerous celebrities who play the event.
The confirmed celebrities for the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am includes a wide assortment of celebrities from the world of music, sports, and film. Perennial fan favorite and comedian Bill Murray is slated to return this year following the launch of his own golf apparel company. Fellow comedians Ray Romano and Larry the Cable Guy are also slated to compete. Singers Toby Keith and Darius Rucker will also be making an appearance. And from the world of sports, spectators can watch the legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky try his hand at golf alongside Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Schedule of Events
The first round does not start until Thursday, February 8, but spectators can watch practice rounds beginning on Monday, February 5 through Wednesday, February 7. On Tuesday at 1:00pm, spectators can watch the charity five-hole putting challenge dubbed the Chevron Shoot-Out. This competition pairs a past champion with a champion from another sport as they compete on the Pebble Beach Golf Links Putting Green. On Wednesday, fans can watch two celebrities team compete in the 5 hole 3M Celebrity Challenge at 11:00am and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Million Dollar Hole-in-One for Charity presented by Facebook at 2:30pm. Both events occur at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Beginning on Thursday, golfers will play one round each day, with a cut occurring after the third round to the 60 low scores plus ties and the low 25 teams plus ties. The final round will be played on Sunday. For those not able to make it to the event, NBC Golf and CBS will provide live coverage of each round of the event.
