Perks
Perimeter weighting and a large sweet spot help even beginners make consistently solid contact. Even the long irons are fairly forgiving on off-center hits. The clubs provide good distance without sacrificing accuracy, even without a full swing. Their feel and workability are excellent, particularly with the shorter irons.
Sacrifices
At more than $800 for a set, cost is by far the biggest drawback. Some players may find the long irons difficult to hit with consistent accuracy and trajectory. Players used to more traditional designs may find the perimeter weighting somewhat difficult to adjust to.
Bottom Line
The irons are not exactly affordable, but their design and playability are fantastic. Their accuracy, distance and feel also are almost unparalleled. The clubs will likely help an established player improve, but beginners are probably better off with a starter set.
