Video Golf Tip | Putting Eye Line

In putting we have some principles to help you putt more effectively and one of them is to have your eyes over the line of the putt. Very important. First it gives you a great reference point to your putting line, it helps you be repeatable, it sets your body in the right position where your hands can be in the right position to hit the ball over and over again. So there are a lot of great reasons to do this. But how do you know that you are doing it correctly, especially in practice. Well here is a nice way to check that our for yourself. I have a CD here, now the back of the CD is going to very reflective. I am going to put that on the ground and the hole in the CD is where the ball is going to go. That will then allow me to see if my eyes are directly over the line, I will be able to see my eyes and then I will be able to practice effectively because I know what it will feel like and I know what it will look like. What I will do is I will go back and forth from this practice to make sure that I own and acquire the skill so that I can transfer it to the golf course. Let's show you what it will look like. The ball goes right on the CD, I will take my posture and I can see my eyes in the CD and I can see that I am right over the ball. Got it. Give this a try. I think it will help you tremendously in acquiring this tremendously important skill for putting. You are just going to make a lot more putts.
