Lynx Golf Clubs Review
Specs

The Lynx Ladies Parallax HXI irons are cast clubs with one of the largest sweet spots in the game. This is a combination iron/hybrid set designed for players who prefer not to carry the traditionally hard-to-hit long irons. This set of clubs provides the ultimate in forgiveness and maximum perimeter-weighted technology allowing a very balanced strike in each club. It enables players of all abilities to excel. With a lighter, more easily flexed shaft, the HXI is specifically designed for the slower swing speeds of female players. Featuring club heads made of tungsten alloy and stainless steel, these clubs offer the best in modern golf clubs.

Perks

The HXI set comes in a combination of irons and hybrids that many players find preferable to difficult-to-hit long irons. Lynx has distributed the main weight around the perimeter of the club head for greater balance and an enlarged sweet spot. Players, specifically female players, should be able to hit solid, complete golf shots with these clubs.

Sacrifices

This is what tends to be categorized as a "super game-improvement" club that allows little workability and chipping feel. The positive side of this is players tend to hit very straight shots. This club is designed to provide clean, clear contact and a large sweet spot for middle to high-handicap players who need the benefit of clubs that help them hit the shots they want to hit.

Bottom Line

A very hittable iron. Perimeter-weighted and balanced through the hitting zone, the Lynx HXI enables beginner to mid-handicap players to learn the game.

Golf Equipment Tip of the Day

Using Frequency to Test the Flex of Your Shafts
by Jeff Jackson
What's the flex of your shafts? At one time, a golfer could safely answer that his or her shafts were stiff, regular or ladies flex. That simply isn't the case any longer. Most manufacturers have their own method of shaft measurement. What this means is that one company's "R" flex shaft may actually be softer than another's "A" or even "L" flex. How, then, can a golfer select the appropriate shaft if no manufacturing standard exists? In a word: frequency.
