Golfers will be entranced by the sheer beauty of their surroundings when they hit the links in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The nearby mountains, along with the changes in elevation, make for a special experience. The ball flies a little farther in the thin air and the weather can become chilly quickly.

Pine Creek Golf Club

Pine Creek Golf Club, designed by Richard Phelps, measures 7,194 from the championship tees. Pine Creek is a challenging, yet fun links-style track routed through grasslands and creek beds and featuring dramatic elevation changes. The course rating is 74.1 and its slope is 143 from the back tees. More than half the holes have water that comes into play. There is also a practice facility. The Grill at Colorado Springs is a great place to grab a sandwich after a round.

Gleneagle Golf Club

Gleneagle Golf Club is a 7,230-yard track from the back tees with beautiful views and well-manicured greens. The course rating is 75 and its slope is 135 from the back tees. It has four tee boxes for all skill levels. The course also offers lessons.

Cherokee Ridge Golf Course

Risk-reward golf is played at Cherokee Ridge. The course features wildlife, undulating fairways and breathtaking views. It measures 6,426 yards from the back tees with a rating of 68.5 and a slope of 110. Cherokee Ridge also has a par-3 course, a grass driving range, a chipping practice area and a practice putting green. Lessons are available. There is a restaurant and bar on site.

Antler Creek Golf Course

One of the longest courses in Colorado, Antler Creek measures a healthy 8,114 yards from the back tees. The prairie dunes-style track has three lakes and 73 bunkers, and six tee boxes for golfers of all skill levels. From the back tees, the course has a rating of 77.5 and a slope of 150. The grass practice facility includes a practice bunker, a short-game area and a putting green. The CreekView Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week.
