Hotels in the French Quarter of New Orleans
The French Quarter in New Orleans, known in French as the "Vieux Carré", is generally recognized as the most famous and oldest neighborhood in the city. This section of the city dates back to its founding in the early 18th century; at that time the French Quarter was the center of the city. Including approximately 78 square blocks, the entire neighborhood is considered a National Historic Landmark. In and around the city of New Orleans are many golf courses--including TPC Louisiana--which allows you to golf during the day and relax or enjoy the night life in the historical French Quarter at night.

Le Richelieu Hotel

Located in a fairly quiet spot in the French Quarter, this classic hotel is still just a short walk from all the major sites and hot spots of the district. Le Richelieu Hotel is rated as a three-star hotel. The owners live in the hotel as well and thus it is kept clean. The building was originally built in the mid-1800s and has been kept in the classic New Orleans style both inside and out. The hotel also has a pool and no pets are allowed.
