Radisson Admiral Semmes Hotel
This historic hotel has undergone several renovations during its long history. You will hear or see the name Admiral Semmes several times throughout your stay in Mobile, especially the historic downtown section where this hotel is located. The spectacular lobby and chandelier is breathtaking and leads the way toward rooms that feature balconies, a wet bar in the suites and high ceilings. A full palm tree provides shade beneath the outdoor pool and the fitness room contains Nautilus equipment as well as a sauna and cardio machines. The wide fairways of the surprisingly high quality municipal Azalea City Golf Course is only about seven miles away from the hotel.

Battle House Renaissance Hotel & Spa
If history is what you are after, you can't beat a hotel that dates back to 1852. The hotel looks significantly different today, of course, and the Battle House offers high-uality luxury amid contemporary amenities. This is another high-rise towering into the downtown Mobile skyline. The interior is pure classic elegance with a lobby that belongs in a much bigger city. The rooms are spacious, especially the very artfully designed suites. The fitness center features cardio equipment, free weights and exercise balls. Treatments at the spa include massage, facials and body wraps. The pool is nice, but the sugary white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores are just a 45-minute drive away. Spring Hill College golf course, Mobile's oldest golf course, is less than 10 miles away.
