A mid-sized airport that serves northern Florida and southern Georgia, the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is located north of downtown Jacksonville and is served by most major commercial and discount carriers. There are plenty of hotels close to the airport, which is a good jumping off point for golfers visiting the area. Ponte Vedra, which is about 40 minutes south of the airport is home to TPC Sawgrass, which has the Stadium and Valley courses and the PGA Tour's corporate offices.
