Hotels in Las Vegas for New Years
Las Vegas is a popular tourist destination all year, but even more so at New Year's. If you are going to take a golf vacation in conjunction with the holiday season, Vegas is a great destination to enjoy great golf while attending one of the numerous shows or parties that occur in the city on New Year's Eve. To help celebrants better enjoy the evening, the city blocks the Strip area off to vehicles to allow party-goers to freely move in the street during the evening's festivities.

JW Marriott

JW Marriott's Addison's Lounge regularly features dance music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's on the weekends. For New Year's Eve 2009, the Lounge is featuring the cover band Deja Vu. The band will start playing at 9 p.m. and go through the New Year until 2 a.m. You will need to book your tickets for the show ahead of time as seating is limited to just over 100 customers. If you plan to stay at the JW Marriott when you are in town, inquire about discounted tickets for the show through the hotel.

MGM Grand

The MGM Grand's shows are popular year-round in Las Vegas. For New Year's, they have booked illusionist David Copperfield to play two shows that evening. Regular tickets for his show run $69.00 USD as of 2009 and VIP tickets are $199.25. A VIP ticket will get you a front row seat, a personal session to meet David Coperfield, and a plaque to mark the occasion. If anyone in your group is active duty military, MGM Grand provides a 50% discount on tickets for their group.
