Country Club of Orlando
The Country Club of Orlando is an exclusive private club that was chartered in 1918 and saw an expensive new facility built in 1956. This rich and luxurious traditional course is dominated by tight fairways and rolling greens. You have to make your way around several water hazards and over 100 bunkers. Dress code forbids denim and you can either rent a cart or walk the course. This course is located just a couple of miles from the center of downtown Orlando.

Dubsdread Golf Course
Dubsdread is the oldest public course in the Orlando area and is just minutes away from the downtown area. This flat course makes for an easy walk, but carts are available for rental and will definitely come in handy if you play during Orlando's sultry summer season. It is a tight course so expect hazards in the form of water and sand to regularly come into play. The gently sloping elevated tees provide another challenge. Even so, this is a good course for intermediate players. Dress code forbids tank tops or cut-offs.

Lake Orlando Golf Club
Lake Orlando Golf Club is a semi-private club notable for the presence of water near every hole. If you aren't a fan of the water hazard, you might think twice before attacking this beautiful but potentially deadly course. Don't let the water hazards distract you from the cypress tree limbs that can catch an errant ball. The dress code prohibits denim and requires a collared shirt. The course is a little bit farther away from downtown, but still less than 10 miles from the center of the area.

Faldo Golf Institute
Play nine-hole golf and get lessons to tweak your game at the Faldo Golf Institute. This course is associated with the Marriott Residence Inn and can be found less than 10 miles from the heart of downtown Orlando. The arrow-straight fairways can mislead you into thinking this is just another easy executive course, but the bunkers and water hazards quickly end such speculation. Sign up for private lessons or multiple-day schools on golfing techniques.
