Colorado City, Arizona is located on the border of Arizona and Utah. The city has a small airport called the Colorado City Municipal Airport, which is about 2 miles from the southern border of Utah. Several national parks are within driving distance of Colorado City, including Kaibab National Forest and Grand Canyon National Park. If you are visiting the Grand Canyon (on the northern side) and would like to squeeze in a few rounds of golf, Colorado City is just one option. Sand Hollow Resort, which has a championship golf course and much more, is less than an hour's drive away. There are also several hotels near Colorado City, but you will have to travel north to the Hurricane-Springdale area or west to Fredonia.

For a more rustic atmosphere, the Driftwood Lodge is an ideal choice. It features four separate lodging buildings with suites that include a bedroom and living area with a patio, or a bedroom and large bathroom with patio area. They also have double bedroom suites with a king bed and two double beds. The hotel features an outdoor pool and a personally prepared gourmet dinner at the Parallel Eighty-Eight Restaurant. Golf at the Sand Hollow Resort is about an hour drive.
