Mobile, Alabama sits on the Gulf Coast and its crystal clear waters. It is a port city with many comings and goings in the gulf as well as up the Mississippi River all the way to the Great Lakes. With many things to see an do in Mobile, such as touring historical sites, shopping, playing on one of 21 golf courses, and trying your hand at the casinos; fun and entertainment options are limitless. If coming to the area to board one of the many cruise ships that dock in the port, it would probably be best to find a hotel near the port area. There are several good ones from which to choose to ensure your stay is comfortable.

Hampton Inn and Suites

The Hampton Inn and Suites is situated near the port area and on Mobile's Mardi Gras parade route. Close by are the convention center and downtown area. The hotel offers guests a free breakfast each morning to get your day started, and an on-site convenience store if you forgot to pack something or just need a snack. Other amenities include a fitness center, pool and laundry.

Riverview Plaza‎

There are two hotels in Mobile located on what is known as the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. This trail follows the path of several golf courses and adds to it some extremely nice resort hotels. The Riverview Plaza is one of these hotels and is located downtown and near the Port of Mobile. With cruiseships parked nearby, it is the perfect location for those planning to set sail, or if you would prefer, you can take advantage of one of the golf packages that include the courses along the golf trail. While staying here, the resort offers you access to a spa, fitness center, on-site restaurant, and concierge services to name a few.

Battle House Renaissance Hotel‎

Built in 1852, this hotel was restored to its former glory and open 2007. The Battle House Renaissance Hotel is the other Mobile hotel situated on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. With a full service spa, restaurants, bar, indoor pool and tennis courts all on-site; there is plenty to keep you busy when you aren't shopping or enjoying the other activities of the city. Golf packages are available at The Falls and Crossings located at Magnolia Grove along the golf trail.
