Many golf courses have dress codes. No, the golfer does not have to wear a jacket and tie, like at some posh restaurants. However, many courses require golfers to wear a collared shirt and dress "appropriately." However, golfers who play on courses that don't have dress codes still want to look good. They also want to play in comfortable clothes that allow them to play their best game. Purchase shirts, pants and socks for your golfer, and you will always be thought of warmly.
Greens fees gift certificates
Go to a local golf course in your area and you will be able to purchase a gift certificate good for the cost of a round (or two) of golf. This will be appreciated when the golfer doesn't have to dig into his pocket for the greens fees that are normally associated with his hobby. A golfer can pay anything from $20 to $200 for a round of golf, so this is a gift that will be remembered.
