Pensacola, Fla., is on the Florida panhandle, along the Gulf of Mexico. Tourists come to enjoy the abundant sunshine, and Pensacola's 52 miles of shoreline with beautiful white sand beaches. Pensacola and surrounding areas have more than a dozen golf courses including the challenging Perdido Bay Golf Club, which first opened in 1963 and was once the site of the Pensacola Open on the PGA Tour, and the Arnold Palmer designed Lost Key Club. Pensacola has a number of pet friendly hotels, mainly in the budget and mid price range. Remember that pet policies at hotels change frequently, including deposits, weight restrictions and availability of pet friendly rooms. When you make your reservation, confirm that your pet is welcome there.

The La Quinta Inn Pensacola is a 130-room property located a few minutes away from the Gulf Coast. Nearby attractions include the Pensacola Civic Center, 7.5 miles away, and the Pensacola National Air Museum, 7 miles away. All the rooms have free high-speed Internet access. The La Quinta Inn features their free Bright Side Breakfast, including waffles, bread and muffins and coffee and juice. This property has a very liberal pet policy. No extra fees, and no weight restrictions on dogs.

Residence Inn by Marriott

Residence Inn by Marriott Pensacola University Mall is located just off Interstate 10 and 110. The all-suite property is designed for those who enjoy spacious accommodations; it has 48 studio suites and 16 penthouse suites. Each comes with a fully equipped kitchen and high-speed Internet access. The Residence Inn serves a free hot breakfast buffet and offers a complimentary social hour Monday through Friday. An added convenience is the on-site market where guests can purchase snacks and beverages 24 hours a day. For pets, the hotel has a weight limit and does charge an extra fee.

Extended Stay America

Extended Stay America Pensacola -- University Mall is designed for guests who want to stay more than a few nights. The property offers suites with fully equipped kitchens, including cooking utensils and there is an on-site guest laundry as well. Full-service housekeeping is provided for guests who stay there longer than seven nights. The spacious suites include a work space with computer dataport. This hotel charges a $25 per day cleaning fee for guests with pets, up to a maximum of $150. They prefer guests call ahead for information regarding possible size, breed or weight restrictions for dogs.
