Kaibab Lodge
The Kaibab Lodge is located in the midst of the Kaibab National Forest, just five miles from the entrance to the north rim. It was originally built in the late-1920s and its location makes it a great place to see wildlife such as deer and a variety of birds. The Lodge operates from mid-May until Nov. each year (2009). The highlight of the main lodge is an old stone fire place and also features a souvenir shop. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner and offers traditional American food in a casual setting. Pets are welcome.
