Shonto is a small town in northwestern Arizona that has a mostly American Indian population (98 percent, according to city-data.com). The Lake Powell National Golf Course, which is about an hour's drive away from Shonto, is the closest course. It's an 18-hole, par-72 municipal golf course. Although Shonto itself has no hotels, there are four accommodations within 22 miles.
