South Kauai Hotels

South Kauai Hotels
With its sheer natural beauty, Kauai is often thought of as the most majestic of the Hawaiian Islands. Known as the "Island of Discovery," Kauai is an enchanting visual experience that carries over to the golf courses. Unparalleled scenery, breathtaking signature holes and courses that challenge both the game and the eye's ability to take it all in are the standard. If you're heading to the south part of the Island, there are many fine hotels that offer guests the ability to stay and play.

Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation‎

The Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation‎ is located on the beach at the southern tip of Kauai in the town of Poipu. The ambiance is carefully created to resemble a 19th- century Hawaiian plantation with wicker furnishings, ceiling fans and native wood. The rooms are large, ranging from 800 square feet for a one-bedroom all the way up to 1,584 square feet for a two-bedroom unit. Many of them come with ocean views and amenities such as a balcony, complimentary Wi-Fi and a full kitchen. The Poipu Bay Golf Course is less than a mile away, and the hotel also boasts a tropical pool with a water slide, an onsite restaurant and several bars and beach services.

Hilton Kauai Beach Resort

Ten miles up the eastern coast of the island sits the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort‎. Located on 25 acres of pristine Kauai beachfront with dense tropical forest and manicured lawns, the Hilton boasts 350 rooms that vary in size and amenity. All rooms have travertine marble bathroom, come with proprietary Hilton Serenity Beds and plush, sink-in chairs. You can get a garden view or pay a little for a sweeping view of the ocean. The hotel also has a large pool leading down to the beach, a fitness facility to work out the kinks before you tee it up and three tropical dining options. If it's golf you're looking for, there are several courses in the immediate area including Wailua Golf Course‎ and Kauai Lagoons Golf Club‎.

Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa

Like the Outrigger, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa also has chosen the sunny southern shore of Kauai as the ideal place to rest and recreate on the Hawaiian Islands. Each of the more-than 600 rooms come with private balconies marble baths, beverage chillers and classic Hawaiian decor. The 16,000-square- foot Anara Spa offers traditional Hawaiian healing rituals that help to rejuvenate the mind and body while the pool takes you away with a salt water lagoon and river pools to float and relax in. The culmination of every stay should be devised around the Robert Trent Jones Jr. Championship course located on site with its historic architectural reminders of the Hawaiian past, beautiful scenery and challenging holes.
