Battle House Renaissance Hotel
The building that now houses the Battle House Renaissance Hotel was built in 1852, and served as a Confederate triage center and hospital throughout the American Civil War. Following the war, the mansion hosted Confederate military leaders and other key southern figures, and was an important gathering place for members of Mobile's high society. Today the property has been fully updated with modern conveniences, yet restored to reflect its original decor and design. The Azalea City Golf Course is located just a few blocks to the northwest.

Malaga Inn
The buildings that now constitute the Malaga Inn were initially built in 1862 by two brothers-in-law as separate townhouses. Long after the American Civil War ended, the homes were fully restored, converted into blocks of hotel rooms and connected by a central lobby building. The hotel's 35 standard guest rooms and three luxury suites are all individually decorated with unique fixtures and furnishings. The Heron Lakes Country Club is located five and a half miles to the southwest.
