Olivas Links Golf Course, named No. 10 on Golf Week magazine's "Best Municipal Golf Course in America" list for 2009, is located in Ventura, Calif. The course, known for its natural beauty and impeccable grounds, has three tee boxes, measuring 6,818 yards. Golf travelers can get to Ventura by plane with a couple of airports within an hour drive.

The Bob Hope Airport, the closest airfield to Hollywood and Los Angeles, is about 55 miles from Ventura. The airport also is a couple of blocks northwest of Warner, NBC, Disney studios. The airport is served by American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines. Parking is available for $9-$30 a day, depending on the lot and whether the vehicle is valeted. Public transportation, including the local rail line, has a station in walking distance from the main terminal.

Los Angeles International Airport, the world's busiest airport, is about 60 miles from Ventura. The mammoth airport is served by all major airlines in the industry that fly to most major cities in the world. The airport has eight parking structures, most of which are conveniently located near terminals and gates. Daily rates are from $8 in an economy lot to $30 in the central terminal parking structures. A dozen hotels are within two miles of the airport, including a Radisson Hotel and an Embassy Suites. Most of these hotels have free shuttles to the airport. The airport and the city's METRO Green Line Light Rail service is connected by a free shuttle, and a free shuttle is available to those travelers who are trying to connect to flights between terminals. Wireless Internet service is available at the airport for a fee.

Santa Barbara Municipal Airport
The Santa Barbara Municipal Airport is 33 miles from Ventura. United, U.S. Airways, Horizon Air, Delta, American Eagle and Alaska Airlines fly out of the airport. The airport is served by flights to and from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, San Jose, Seattle and Salt Lake City. Daily parking is $9 or $20, depending on the lot that is used. The airport has a cage, a snack shop and a gift shop that sells newspapers and snacks. A Holiday Inn is close to the airport.
