The first thing you think about is cars when you think about Detroit. But there are a number of golf courses there like Rouge Park that's about 12 miles from downtown Detroit. This 260-room hotel is connected by the skyway to the famous Renaissance Center and is less than 25 miles from Detroit Metro Airport. Within walking distance of the hotel are the Tiger games, a casino and numerous restaurants. The Atheneum Suite Hotel

This 174-room hotel has earned the highest award from the AAA and it is the only one in Detroit to be so lauded. It is next to the Greektown Casino, and there are numerous restaurants and entertainment venues within walking distance. Detroit Marriott At the Renaissance Center

The Detroit Marriott is a 1298-room hotel that can be noted on Detroit's skyline and is only a few blocks away from Greektown Casino and Joe Louis Arena and is on the city's newly regenerated Riverwalk. As you check in, marvel at the guest lobby that's more than two-stories high. Work out in the hotel's well-equipped fitness center, and eat a meal or two, or have a libation at the hotel's restaurant and bar that overlook's the Detroit River. The Marriott is connected to Detroit's People Mover, which allows you easy access to many of the city's attractions.
