Downtown Las Vegas Hotels

Downtown Las Vegas Hotels
Choose one of these downtown Las Vegas hotels instead of staying on the Strip for a change of pace on your next golf trip. Each hotel is within walking distance of the spectacular Fremont Street Experience overhead light and music show. Downtown can also be a good choice for a golf vacation because the casinos are so close together. After a long day on the golf course, walking from one Strip mega-resort to another is the last thing you will want to do.

El Cortez

The Spanish-themed El Cortez is known for its low table minimums and reasonable prices on rooms and dining. The hotel has 400 rooms, including several luxurious Jacuzzi suites. The El Cortez is one of the few downtown casinos that is not right on Fremont Street, so prepare to walk a couple of blocks if you want to visit the other casinos. There is a complimentary shuttle that runs to McCarran Airport each hour between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday.

Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel

Binion's is conveniently located on Fremont Street and is only a short walk from the Neonopolis shopping center. Poker aficionados will enjoy the Hall of Fame Poker Room, which is decorated with historic photographs of poker legends as a tribute to Binion's past as the host of the World Series of Poker. Visit Binion's Ranch Steakhouse on the 24th floor for fine dining and a view of the mountains you would not expect in downtown Las Vegas.

Golden Nugget

The Golden Nugget offers a high-end resort experience right in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. The standard rooms have all been renovated to include pillow-top mattresses, goose down pillows and down comforters. More luxury can be found at the top of the towers, with six penthouse suites in the North Tower and 27 large apartments in the Spa Tower. Even if it is not good swimming weather, you will want to visit the year-round pool complex to see the 200,000-gallon shark aquarium.

Main Street Station

Main Street Station is designed to resemble a Victorian train station. It is located two blocks north of Fremont Street, giving guests a place to stay that is close to the action of downtown Las Vegas, but away from the noise of the Fremont Street Experience shows. The on-site microbrewery features six different types of beers, which change as seasonal brews are added or removed.
