Mobile is located in Mobile County, Alabama in the southwestern corner of the state, and is the third largest and third most populated city in the state. It has a history that dates back to its early 1700s French colonial period, and today is known for its largest port on the northern Gulf of Mexico. Also known for its Carnival and Mardi Gras celebrations, the city is home to the Magnolia Grove Golf Course, rated by Golf Digest as the top par-3 course in the country.

Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel

The Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile is a large, 28-floor, 374-room structure that towers over the lake. The hotel is a popular destination for water sporting guests, and offers canoe and jet ski rentals. Other amenities at the hotel include 24-hour room service, the popular Harbour Restaurant, which offers a number of seafood dishes, and many suite choices with a number of bedding options and amenities. The hotel is located near the Rock Creek Golf Club, which was designed by Earl Stone and features a 4.5-star rating by Golf Digest. The course is a par-72 that stretches over 7,000 yards.

Battle House Renaissance Hotel

The Battle House Renaissance Hotel in downtown Mobile is the tallest building in the city and the tallest building on the United States' Gulf Coast. The hotel has 238 rooms and is located in the historic Mobile district of the city. The hotel also offers canoe rentals, and features an on-site tennis court and pool. Large groups are given the option of taking two and three bedroom suites, or adjoined rooms with double the amenities. The hotel is located centrally, just off of I-10, and is within a 20-minute drive of a number of other courses that are also in the city. These include the Kiva Dunes Golf Course, the 54-hole Magnolia Grove golf course, and the Lakewood Golf Course, which has hosted Gerald Ford and Bob Hope, among many others.

Malaga Inn

The Malaga Inn in Mobile is also in the historic district of the city, and is a privately owned inn that features 30 rooms tailored to customer service and amenities. The hotel includes traditional southern decor, art galleries, marble fireplaces, hardwood floors and 14-foot ceilings. Each room features poster beds, privates balconies and a view of the hotel's scenic gardens. The hotel is located the closest to the Craft Farms Golf Club, which is a 36-hole, Arnold Palmer design. When opened in 1999, it was voted by Golf Digest as the most playable new course in the country.
