Brantford, Canada, was the home of the famous Alexander Graham Bell and is sometimes referred to as the Telephone City. With a population of around 90,000, this city has a variety of golf courses to play, although you may not be able to find anywhere to stay aside from large chain hotels like the Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn and Suites or Days Inn. The city is also full of activities to keep you and your family busy. The museums will provide you with a history of the telephone, while the galleries give you a taste of the culture of Canada.
Days Inn
The Days Inn was completely renovated in 2006 and it is close to Northridge Golf Course. It offers guests a continental breakfast, Internet in the lobby and a fitness center. It also has a Japanese restaurant on site. This hotel also has suites that have a jacuzzi in the bathroom, as well as microwaves and refrigerators available in some of the rooms, although you will have to request these suites in advance if you plan to stay at the hotel.
The Days Inn allows you easy access to most of the local attractions. The Wayne Gretzky Sports Center and Ben Mar Family Fun Center are great to visit after playing a round of golf. There are no special rates for golfers when they stay at the hotel, so expect to keep your clubs in your room.

This hotel is pet friendly and has Internet service in each of the 80 rooms. The Golden Griddle restaurant is available to all the guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms have coffee makers and wireless Internet service, and some rooms have DSL hook-up. If you are visiting the city on a budget, you may want to get a room with a microwave and refrigerator; these are not provided in every room, so you will have to book them before you arrive.
