Austin Hotels Near the Capitol
Austin, Texas, is known for its college football and quality golf. But it's also the Lone Star State's capital city. Whether you're catching a football game at the nearby University of Texas, golfing at the nearby Hancock Golf Club or sightseeing at the LBJ Library, you'll need a place to stay in the middle of the activity.

If you're looking to get out to play a round or two before the big game, try the city-owned Hancock Golf Course. This course is a nice warm-up. Opened in 1899, the par 35 nine-hole course is the oldest known course in Texas. Call (512) 453-0276 for more information. Morris-Williams Golf Course is also city-owned. It's a challenging course with rolling hills and elevated greens. Call (512) 926-1298 for more information.
