Top End Steakhouses in Maryland
If you are in Maryland, either on business or for pleasure, be sure to play one of the fine golf courses there. For example, in the Baltimore area, Forest Park is a great track to test your skills and all 18 holes have beautiful greens and fairways. Whether you shoot your life low or you fought your way around the course, either celebrate or commiserate at one of many top-flight steakhouses in the state.

Prime Rib

This fine steakhouse is reminiscent of a supper club you'd have found in New York City in the 1940s. After opening in 1965, this restaurant became an instant sensation, primarily because of the food. At Prime Rib, steaks are king but it also serves other dishes that are sure to please. They serve only prime beef that has been aged for a month or more. You can order a Prime Rib Steak which is a bone-in rib eye that will be broiled to your exact specifications. Or you can have Steak Au Poivre that is grilled with peppercorns and Marchand de Vin butter and cognac. Among the many other entrees is a Roquefort Steak that is grilled to your liking and laced with melted roquefort cheese that has been imported. This restaurant is recommended by 10Best.com, a major source for travelers.

Ruth's Chris Steak House

This restaurant is part of a nationwide chain, but it certainly doesn't feel like one. It is recommended by 10Best.com, the source millions of travelers turn to for information. The restaurants say that they are "Home of Serious Steaks" and you can prove it's more than an advertising slogan with one visit. For example, you can order a filet cooked exactly as you wish, or a petit filet if you are less hungry. Among the many other beef dishes is a Cowboy Rib Eye that is larger than the regular rib eye and still has a bone in it to help hold in its moisture. If you'd rather order something other than beef, the menu has a number of dishes to satisfy your appetite. Ruth's Chris has an extensive wine list so it's easy to pair up your meal with a bottle.

Morton's, The Steakhouse

This restaurant is a favorite for state politicians and one favored by 10Best.com. Other heavyweights enjoy its club-like atmosphere where they can get beautifully prepared food and large portions. Steak is king there and you can order everything from a petit filet mignon or a double Porterhouse steak, both of which will be cooked perfectly. If steaks are not your choice, the lobster is a very popular alternative along with the Jumbo Crab Cakes and the huge Alaskan king crab legs. The desserts are special so leave room after your entree.
