Located on the Nevada-Utah border with views of the Wasatch mountain range, Wendover is a budget gaming location that is also a good jumping off spot for outdoors activities, including hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding and horseback riding. A 50 foot neon cowboy marks entry into town. The only golf course in the area is the Toana Vista Golf Course, with a desert layout, at which several local hotels offer tournaments and packages.
Rainbow-Peppermill-Montego Bay
This value hotel group offers three distinct experiences, though the new Montego Bay location offers the most amenities, including an on-site spa, salon and workout area. All three hotels have on-site dining, restaurants and gaming. The Peppermill location has a sports book and poker rooms are available at the Rainbow and Montego Bay locations. The hotels offer host golf tournaments throughout the spring and summer and the tournaments are packaged with guest rooms. The tournaments have cash prizes and some are for singles while others require two- or four-man teams.

Traditionally decorated guest rooms, some with whirlpool tubs, and a full-service casino are available at the Wendover Nugget. The resort, which has an outdoor pool, also hosts MMA ultimate fighting and live entertainment. The casino has 800 slot machines, table games, a poker room, a sports book and a keno lounge. Located within easy driving distance to the municipal Toana Vista Golf Course, which has a par-72, 6,820 yard layout.

Red Garter Hotel & Casino
The only hotel in the area to offer golf packages, the Red Garter offers a well-priced two night, two-rounds-of-golf stay during weekdays. The hotel itself is a budget affair with about 100 guest rooms and few on-site amenities. The casino is small, but does have slots, table games and a sports book. There is one restaurant on-site, the Garden Room, which has a reasonably priced Sunday brunch.
